Our Featured Guest for December 7, 2025 is Ralph Sutton
Ralph Sutton is a seasoned podcast and pop culture commentator with over two decades of experience in front of the mic as a TV and radio host. He is currently the host of the hit comedy podcast The SDR Show, and in 2016 he founded the GaS Digital Network, which now reaches 6 million listeners a month across 22 shows. Before that, Ralph created his own nationally syndicated rock show, The Tour Bus, which ran for 15 years on more than 75 stations across the country. He has also hosted for VH1-Classic and at major rock events nationwide, including The Sturgis Rally and Shiprocked, and he has written for sites and magazines such as Metal Edge and Social Underground.
Career Background: Ralph launched The SDR Show five years ago from his East Village apartment. Today, the show is widely available and ranks as one of iTunes’ top comedy podcasts, regularly hitting the #1 spot. He was the host of the nationally syndicated rock radio show The Tour Bus from January 1999 to May 2018, and throughout his career he has hosted concerts, TV shows, and live events — all for the betterment of rock, while joking that he was “trying to get laid in the process.”
GaS Digital Network: Ralph is also the founder of the GaS Digital Network, an audio and video podcast network featuring more than 20 shows and receiving over 1.4 million listeners each week. The network has grown into a major presence in the digital media landscape, providing a home for bold, personality-driven programming.
About The SDR Show (Sx, Drgs & Rock N Roll): The Sx, Drgs & Rock N Roll Show delivers everything listeners want in a podcast but might be afraid to ask for, especially if a spouse is in the room. Hosted by two average guys who live somewhat larger-than-average lives—one a comedian and the other a radio and TV host—the show offers a no-apologies, not politically correct, not-for-the-faint-of-heart style that merges the energy of a classic morning radio show with the freedom of digital entertainment. SDR is natural, off-the-cuff, and feels like hanging out with friends, swinging between funny, interesting, and totally crazy moments. Ralph highlights that it is a labor of love, and the growing listener response continues to blow them away as the audience climbs each week.
In its first 30 days, The SDR Show earned over 6,000 downloads, reached #6 in iTunes’ New & Noteworthy section, and hit #57 in comedy. One year later, it achieved the unimaginable by topping the iTunes comedy charts at #1 in March 2015. Today the show remains consistently in the Top 40 and brings in more than 100,000 listens a month. The SDR Show has been featured in LoudWire, NME, Entrepreneur Magazine, and many other outlets.
The show regularly features rockstars, comedians, actors, and people Ralph and his cohost simply want to talk to. Each episode ends with their signature closing question, asking guests about their first experience with sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll, which adds an entertaining and unpredictable twist to each conversation.
Ralph originally started the podcast with a friend, and when the show unexpectedly hit #1 in iTunes comedy, they decided to take it more seriously. That momentum helped shape one of digital media’s most entertaining and unfiltered shows and ultimately helped lead to the creation of the entire GaS Digital Network. GG Mirvis is the Founder and CEO of Desolas Mezcal, an artisanal mezcal brand crafted from 100% Salmiana Agave in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Desolas features a Blanco, a new Reposado, and a laminated single barrel Añejo, all created to highlight the natural character of the Salmiana plant with an agave-forward flavor, fresh botanicals, and low smoke. Mezcal itself is a distilled Mexican spirit made from the agave plant, with a name that translates to “oven-cooked agave.” This traditional definition ties closely to the heart of GG’s brand and the spirit she’s dedicated to preserving.
GG founded Desolas Mezcal from a deep respect for the land, tradition, and the artistry of mezcal making. Born in the heart of Mexico, every bottle tells a story of patience, purity, and passion — a journey that begins in the sun-soaked agave fields and ends in the hands of those who appreciate authentic craft. Mezcal is described as a sacred gift of the sun, an artisanal spirit born from warmth and crafted slowly, and this philosophy sits at the center of GG’s vision for Desolas.
Rooted in generations of craftsmanship, Desolas uses mature, 25-year-old Salmiana agave that is slow-cooked in traditional hornos. The craft begins where tradition meets artistry: each batch is made in small quantities, with the agave roasted, fermented, and distilled entirely by hand to preserve the soul of mezcal in its purest form. Their production process follows time-honored methods passed down through generations — from the careful selection of mature agave to slow roasting in earthen pits and gentle hand distillation — ensuring the process is never rushed, because true quality takes time.
At Desolas, GG embraces balance: between modern innovation and ancient tradition, between community and craft, and between nature and spirit. The goal is not just to make mezcal, but to preserve the soul of it. Every sip of Desolas reflects this philosophy — pure, honest, and full of life. Whether enjoyed neat, in a cocktail, or shared among friends, Desolas invites people to slow down, savor the moment, and appreciate the beauty of simplicity. More than a drink, Desolas is a journey from the land to the glass, inspired by the people, the culture, and the spirit of Mexico. Read more at: https://www.desolasmezcal.com/
